herself with excitement over her

necked, talented WC stallion. “Sam”
has been a favorite of Sally’s since
he was a foal and it is a dream
come true for her. Sam will be
making his saddle debut in 2009 and
they will be teaming up for their
debut in the near future. Cingate
Instant Karma will also be standing
his first season at stud here at
Merriehill Farm, Inc. to a limited
number of mares in 2009 at an
introductory Stud Fee of $1500.

February 13-16, 2008, Stan Bodnar received the
Gold Reins Award.
Instituted in 1995, the Golden Reins Award
recognizes professionals who have been involved
with the Morgan breed for at least 30 years.
Active or retired trainers and instructors who
have made a lasting impact on the breed on a
daily basis through their dedication to working
with horses and riders are eligible for
nomination.
Merriehill
Farm was awarded the
Breeders' Hall
of Fame Award.
Established in 2004, the AMHA Breeders’ Hall of
Fame award is given to a breeder who has
produced Morgans that have had a significant
impact on the breed.

Ruthann Peterson, Saukville, WI joining
our Team again.
Approximately 20 years ago we trained
and showed her HVK Widowmaker for her
and did the same in the mid 1990’s with
her lovely, mare IMA Class Action.

After a several month
search Ruthann has selected the beautiful and talented
two-year-old black stallion Merriehill King Of Magic. He
is sired by Tug Hill Whamunition and out of Futurity
Chicago Whitesox who is a daughter of Merriehill
Chicagoan. Ruthann plans to keep him with Merriehill
Farm, Inc for his training and future showing.

recent purchase of Cherrydale Sudden Impact (Tug Hill
Whamunition x Cherrydale Antiquity) to show in the
Classic Pleasure division. “Suds” was previously owned
by Merriehill Farm, Marengo, IL. He will remain in
training at Merriehill Farm, Inc.
Sara and “Suds” have already won a Reserve Championship
in the Classic Pleasure Driving at the North Star
Americana Morgan Show in their first show together and
placed 5th at the Jubilee Regional Championship Show in
Springfield, IL in the very hotly contested $4000
Classic Pleasure Driving Open Championship.
Sara is looking forward to getting to know “Suds” over
the winter months and they will be making their saddle
debut in 2008.
